Tours & Admissions
The historic home is open 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 1 pm to 5 pm on Sunday.
The last tour begins at 4 pm.
We are closed Mondays, Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and the month of January. There are some occasions where we close for renovations or portions of the home may be closed due to private events. It is always a good idea to call ahead when planning to visit. We also follow the Council Bluffs School District for closings due to inclement weather.
Adults, $7; Seniors (over 62), $5; Students (6-16), $3; Children (under 6), free.
School Tour Groups:
Groups of 15 or more — Youth, $2; Adults/Chaperones, $5; Teacher and Bus Driver, free. Special School Tour Interactive Programs: Groups of 15 or more — Youth, $3; Adults/Chaperones, $5 *No other discounts or coupons apply. Groups under 15 — Youth $4, Adults/Chaperones, $5. School Teachers must have a valid ID for entrance.
Commercial Tour Groups:
Groups of 20 or more, (with 48 hours advance notice) Adults, $5; Children 6-16 $2. Tour Director and Driver, free. *No other discounts or coupons apply.

From Interstate 80/29: Take the Council Bluffs Business District Exit 3. Turn left onto the South Expressway, North Hwy 192. Follow Expressway over the bridge. Turn right on Fifth Ave. Stay on Fifth (there’s a jog). Turn right onto Third street. The DH is two blocks further on left, park in parking lot on right or on the street.
From Broadway (Downtown Omaha): Follow Broadway to South Seventh Street. Turn right onto South Seventh Street. Turn left onto Fifth Ave. Turn right onto Third Street. The DH is two blocks further on left, park in lot on right or on the street.
Buses and RVs please park on street. Other vehicles may park on the street or in our parking lot to the west of Third Street.
