DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Council Bluffs’ place in history as Mile Zero for Union Pacific in this new take on an old favorite weekend! Railroad Days at Mile Zero returns on Saturday, May 9th and Sunday, May 10th, from 12PM to 6PM. The Union Pacific Railroad Museum, RailsWest History Museum, Pottawattamie Arts and Culture (PACE), the Historic General Dodge House, and the Historic 100 Block of Council Bluffs are again teaming up for this annual event.\nAt the Dodge House\nVisitors will begin their Dodge House experience at the Beresheim House, just south of the Dodge House. Here, you will enjoy an orientation video, appreciate local history displays, a gift shop, and more.\nYou will be engaged by Civil War educators, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a step back in time to 1869 in the home of the greatest railroad builder of all time, General Grenville M. Dodge. As you stroll through the home of General Dodge, our tour guides are there to answer any questions you may have about the house, the family, and the man himself. The basement of the house has many displays and railroad and civil war artifacts.\nGet Your Tickets\nPasses for the family event are $20 per group, which includes two adults and unlimited children under 18. An additional adult pass can be purchased for $10. Tickets may be purchased online or on the day of the event.  You can purchase your ticket on the day of the event at the Historic General Dodge House, Union Pacific Museum, and the RailsWest Railroad Museum.\nTickets that are purchased in advance through the Historic General Dodge House can be redeemed the day of the event where each person will receive a wristband that allows you unlimited rides on the trolleys and admission to all trolley stops.  \nAll proceeds from tickets sold through the Historic General Dodge House helps to continue our mission of Preserving the Past with an Investment for the Future!\nTickets that are purchased in advance through the www.GoRailroadDays.com can be redeemed at the Union Pacific Railroad Museum the day of the event where each person will receive a wristband that allows you unlimited rides on the trolleys and admission to all trolley stops.\nMore event information is available at www.GoRailroadDays.com\nRailroad Days wristbands also come with discounts and other benefits throughout Council Bluffs and the metro!\n
